It is quite the conundrum in the cat world. You have three kinds of cats when it comes to the feline expression of love towards their pawrents. The first kind is the catto who is capable of purring and cuddling even while in the shelter. Then you have the second type of cat, they might show glimmers or hints of loving at the shelter. Causing prospective pawrents to be enticed by the prospect of having a loving cat child at home. These pawrents either lie to themselves, saying the cat will show even more love when they settle in at home, or they know they are in for a challenge when they get home but they are the kind of people who like to earn their feline love.

Then you have the third kind of cat, this kind is most certainly not featured in this list. Mainly because they will never touch their hoomans of their own volition. This is the kind of cat who will cause chaos just if you look at them wrong. Their idea of personal space is being on opposite sides of the room and keeping a safe, wary distance. This has to be one of the rarest moment of feline loving. For an orange cat to lay this still, quietly and cozily is simply unreal. We have yet to come across any cat who is willing to let their pawrent sleep passed their feeding time without repercussions. Let alone an orange cat, known for being one of the sassiest creatures on the planet. Known for their lack of interest or care in what others are trying to do with their lives. All in all, this is a cat who truly loves his pawrent.

For those of us with cat children who simply cannot be touched, looking at this photo is more akin to experiencing a fever dream than observing someone else’s reality. Like, it really does not feel feasible that a cat could ever find themselves this close and comfortable next to a person. Like, how is it remotely possible that a cat and love their hooman this much?
